Abstracts must be submitted online using this official 13th Life Long Learning in Pharmacy Conference Abstract online application tool which can be accessed here.
Please consider submitting an abstract relevant to one of the following conference themes:
Planning the Route – the stages of our learning journey
Considering the stages along the journey of life-long learning from the first practice experience through an evolving career
Provisions & Companions – Things that help us in our Journey
Considering those things that we bring with us, or acquire, on our learning journey, for example, the tools we use, the skills we need and the resources we require.
Destinations… Where are we going?
Considering the places to where our learning journey could bring us.
Please consider submitting an abstract for one of the following presentation types:
These sessions are 90 minutes in length. Workshops may include a short break at 45 minutes. Workshops must be practical and interactive and include opportunities for active learning and interaction between participants. It is recommended that a 90 minute workshop include about 30 to 40 minutes of content and 40 to 50 minutes of active learning. Each abstract for a workshop must include learning outcomes and self assessment questions. You are also required to submit a short presenter biography (maximum 50 words per presenter). Presenters are responsible for any handout material.
These sessions are 45 minutes in length. Sessions must include opportunity for discussion e.g. question and answer period, asking participants to contribute their experience, “buzz” groups (2-3 minute discussions on an issue in small groups of 2-3 people), etc. It is recommended that the 45 minute session include about 25 to 30 minutes of content and 15 to 20 minutes for interaction with/among participants. Each abstract for a small group session must include learning outcomes and self assessment questions. You are also required to submit a short presenter biography (maximum 50 words per presenter). Presenters are responsible for any handout material.

These presentations are allocated 15 minutes in length, and will be grouped together in groups of 3 presentations within each theme in each room. There will be 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the participants. You are also required to submit a short presenter biography (maximum 30 words per presenter).

Posters will need to be available for viewing on days 2 and 3 of the conference and there will be a manned poster-viewing time within the programme during that time when authors will be present with their posters. The programme will also include a Life Long Learning in Pharmacy favourite item – “Visit my poster” where each poster author/s are given ONE minute per poster in plenary time to advertise their poster to conference participants. How you use this time is entirely up to you.
Posters should be A0 size in a Portrait style. Standard ISO A0 paper dimensions are 841mm x 1189mm (or 33.1 ×46.8inches). Posters may be laminated or not, according to your preference. Please bring Velcro dots or tacks to attach to the boards (not blu-tak)
All accepted presenters are responsible for their own registration fees, travel and accommodation. The conference will be conducted in English.
Abstracts must be typed into the following Word templates (click on template title to download): and uploaded in the Step 6 of the Submission workflow.
- Abstracts must be submitted via the online abstract submission site.
- Abstracts must be typed into the appropriate Word template.
- Do not change the page margins or any set up features.
- The abstract should be typed in 10 point Arial font (do not use “bold” type)
- All text should be entered in sentence case (do not type in CAPITAL LETTERS)
Abstracts submissions will close on 7 February 2020. All abstract submissions will be acknowledged on receipt and peer reviewed after the closing date. You will be advised of the status of your abstract by 27 March 2020.
